A Very Sad Day For Our City And Schools...

Today is a very very sad day for our city. We live in Chardon, Ohio and today a student went in the high school with a gun and started shooting other students in the cafeteria. Tragically one of the students lost his life. He was only 16 years old. Chardon is such a safe city to live in and very safe to raise your kids. Things like this never happens here. Never did we or anyone who lives in Chardon would ever think that something like this could happen in our community. There were 5 victims in total and included in the 5 was a 16 year old student who passed away due to his injuries. I know that 2 are in critical condition, 1 is stable and one was very lucky because the bullet grazed his ear. The shooter lives on the same street as my inlaws. The shooter does not even go to Chardon schools so we don't know why he chose Chardon High. Things like this never happen here in Chardon. But never say never. Our family is very shaken up by the actions of the shooter and the loss of the 16 year old student and for the other 4 victims. The shooter turned himself in and is in a jail that is just about 2 or 3 miles from our house. My kids Casey and Hallie are safe...thank god for that. My niece goes to Chardon High and she was in the building when this happened this morning. Thank god she is ok as well. Hallie's best friends sister was in the cafeteria where the shootings took place and she is ok as well. Our community has been turned upside down due to this senseless and tragic event. Please keep all of the families and students who were shot in your prayers. As you can see I am in complete shock that this happened in our city. The schools were shut down today and will be closed tomorrow as well. Every 4th of July we go to the high school to watch fire works and we have been in the building many many times. We are completely in shock and so very upset that this happened today. Please keep the community of Chardon in your prayers especially for the victims and families of the shootings.

It's All In The Family...

My mom is EXTREMELY talented and has always been since I was a baby. I grew up with her always making so many different things. She even had a business selling her handmade items. She has made so many creative things. I wanted to share some of her handmade items with you that I have around my house. Starting first with this adorable bunny that always sits on the back of my couch. Isn't she adorable? My mom made every single part of this little bunny doll. Well, she is not exactly little. She is a good size bunny doll. I wish I had the other many dolls that my mom has made for me over the years. They are in storage while we are trying to sell our house.

My mom also makes these unbelievably beautiful wreaths.

I have them all over my house. This one is in our master bedroom right above my bed. I LOVE it so much. This wreath also lights up and is beautiful at night when all the lights are off. It gives off such a soothing aura.

My mom can sew, she can create beautiful wreaths with dried flowers and she can also paint. She painted this for me as a gift back in 2000. She did such a beautiful job. She is like another Donna Dewberry. This is hanging in our dining room.. well our eat in kitchen rather.

This wreath lights up as well. This wreath is in Hallie's bedroom and she loves it. Isn't my mom so talented? I think so and I am her biggest fan. Every new piece I always wanted and had to have.

This is another beautiful wreath. It is hanging in our living room above our flat screen tv. This one lights up as well.

This is something my mom made along time ago but I still have it displayed. It is a rod iron heart shape and she put dried and silk flowers on it. I have a rod iron house that she put some of these same flowers but different colors and it is gorgeous. It is packed away. I love to have my mom's hand made items all over my house.

My mom made this for me and it is a little doll that hides those plastic bags from the store. She has made so many of these and she made one for my daughter so that she could put her overnight items in when she stayed the night at a friends house. So you can use it for many different ways. Isn't she so cute though? I love her piggy tails. She also painted her face. She is SO talented when it comes to drawing little faces. I only wish I could draw like my mom does. If she ever made cards they would be absolutely stunning. As you can see I am a huge fan of my mom's stuff.

This is another piece that was made along long time ago. It is a little glass jar filled with potpourri. Then my mom took the front of the jaw and used a magnolia scented envelope sachet and then added her trademark flowers, ribbon and greenery.

This is a beautiful swag that my mom made for me. It is in our living room above our windows. She has made so many of these swags and they are all so beautiful.

This is a little fruit wreath that my mom made for my kitchen. Every Christmas I always asked for homemade items from my mom because there is not one single item that she could have bought that would have meant more to me. Plus all of her items are so special, beautiful and very meaningful to me. I will keep every item she has ever made for me forever. Once we get into our new house I will show you a bunch of other amazing items my mom has made through out the years.

I don't know how many of you have mother's who have passed on their creative talents to you or have encouraged you to be creative. But having my mom's handmade items all around my house always makes me feel like she is always around. She lives about 2 hours away from me. I hope you enjoyed seeing some of the things that my mom has made for me and my daughter over the years. I have SO many other items that are stored away that I will have to show you one day. I hope that these items inspire you in one way or another. I know having her talented creativity all around me inspires me every day.

Having Trouble Calibrating Your Cricut Imagine??

I was able to find the image that did not cut properly and this is it. You can clearly see that the image has way too much white all around the top and down the right side on top of the rocket. Then it cut off part of the rocket bottom. So I was able to fix this by calibrating it in a different way to compensate to make sure each image will cut out perfectly each time. I hope seeing this compared to the image below will help you see what I was talking about more clearly. If you would like to see a video of how to fix this just let me know and I will be happy to create one for you. I want each of you to have your images cut out perfectly so that we are not wasting ink and paper.

This image is after I adjusted the calibration and the image cut out much better. I can tweak it just a bit so that it is 100% perfect and I will work on that soon.

Are you having trouble when you cut out an image on your Imagine after you have calibrated it several times? I have a simple way to correct this problem. When I first got my Imagine every image that I cut out was not being cut out properly even though I chose the correct number and letter of the cut on each line after I calibrated my machine. On my images there was too much white from the white cardstock and my machine cut out too much of the image on the bottom. If you look at the first image in this post you will see a tiny bit of white that should not be there. This was frustrating but I figured out how to fix this problem. When you first calibrate your machine you pick the number and letter that shows the cut that is perfectly on each line. Well this does not mean that your images will be cut out right. So this is how you can fix this problem. First cut out any image...it does not matter what image it is. It just needs to show too much white and too much of the image being cut off. Next calibrate your machine. After you take out the calibrated sheet out of your Imagine you take your image and compare it to the number and letter lines along the top and right hand side of the sheet. Now, if your image has too much white on the top left then you would pick a number along the top that is either more to the left or right. What ever matches your image. You will have to guesstimate which line may correct this problem and put in the different letter and number in your Imagine. Next you will look at the part of your image that is being cut off too much. To do that compare the letters going down the right hand side. If your image is being cut off too much inside of your image then you select a letter that has a cut line below the letter. You may have to do this several times to get it just right. If you are still a little confused let me know and I would be happy to make a quick video showing you exactly how to correct this. Please let me know if you need any more help and I will do my best to help in any way I can.

Today I am going to work on a brand new card from the Nursery Tails Cricut Imagine Cartridge. This is one of the cutest cartridges I have seen in a long time. Hallie's Handmade Finger Scarf.. Cute!!

This is Hallie's finished scarf..Here is how to make it...

First you tie the starting piece of yarn around your thumb. Then you take the yarn and weave it under and over each of your 4 fingers. Repeat this step 4 times.

This just shows you what it looks like weaving the yarn between each of your 4 fingers. This is where you can take the tied yarn off of your thumb.

With your palm facing you take the bottom piece of yarn and fold it over your finger. Repeat this for all 4 fingers.

After you take the bottom piece of yarn then you use your other hand and push the yarn down to make it closer together. After you push the yarn down then you start to weave new yarn between your fingers again and repeat each step over and over and over again until you get the desired length you want.

To finish your scarf you start with your index finger. You will have 1 loop on each finger. Take the only loop on your index finger and move it over to your middle finger. Then you take the loop on your middle finger and move it to your ring finger, then move the ring finger loop to your pinky, take the bottom loop on your pinky fold it over the top loop then just take it off and tuck the remaining yarn in the scarf somewhere where you won't see it. We left the end pieces untucked so you can see what it looks like. You can see it on the first photo above.

This is Hallie's finished scarf. It took her literally less then 15 minutes to make this whole thing from start to finish. She wore this to school today and her teacher asked her if Hallie could make her one in purple. Of course Hallie was so excited and I am going to buy Hallie purple yarn tomorrow so she can make one for her teacher. Hallie was so proud of herself and I am very proud of Hallie as well. This is such a great project for your daughter, granddaughter, niece or any little girl or boy to do.

This is the base of the card and I used the Cuttlebug embossing folder Spots & Dots.

One of my very best friends since high school called me last night and asked if I could make her 3 year old grandson a birthday card. Of course I was happy to do this for her. Her grandson Trevor is turning 4 years old in a few days so today Hallie and I worked on this simple but adorable card. We decided to use the Cricut Imagine More Cards Cartridge. We wanted to use the "Hope Your Birthday's A Blast" image it is and on page 11 in the booklet. We worked on this so fast that we forgot to write down the measurements for you. I am so sorry about that. After we printed the "Hope Your Birthday's A Blast" image we took a photo of it and you can see that above. Then we took the colors brown and matching blue cardstock for the mat and card base. For the embossing on the brown cardstock we chose to use the Cuttlebug Spot's & Dots embossing folder. Hallie and I felt it worked well with this image. Then all we had to do was layer each piece and add some ribbon and that is basically it. We made this card a bit larger then I normally would only because he is turning 4 years old and I wanted him to have a bigger card for his special birthday. We took some ribbon that matched the blue's in the card and added a ribbon on the top left corner. That was Casey and Hallie's idea. Hallie wanted to decorate the inside of Trevor's card and she picked out these images from the Cricut Imagine Blast Off Cartridge. The rocket ship is found on page 41 and we used the same layers as in the booklet. Hallie also wanted the words to say "Happy Birthday" and the number "4" since Trevor is turning 4 years old. I can tell you that the letters are about 1" each and I cannot remember what size we used for the rocket ship. I used pop dots to add dimension to the main image on the front of the card and mono adhesive for the Happy Birthday letters, the Rocket Ship and the number 4 for the inside of the card. All of the card stock, ribbon and any other products used were from our stash. I hope Trevor loves his birthday card from his grandma.

So we just wanted to share this little quick and cute card for you today. This was our first Cricut Imagine Card we have made since I got it. I have to say that it is very simple to use. Although we have made little things here and there but never a card.

Hallie made a little box using the Cricut Imagine all by herself today. Tomorrow we will post photos of her project so you can see what she did. She is so proud of herself and I am very very proud of her. Hallie is only 11 years old and I believe that including your children and encouraging them to use their creativity is such an amazing and one of the most important gifts you can do for them. Anytime my kids are around while I am making something I always try to include them. Creativity is a beautiful thing and I always encourage them to be as creative as they can be.

Casey's Homemade Circut Board with Help From Cricut Imagine...

Casey got to do a special project in science because he is advanced and wanted a challenge to do. So his teacher gave him a circut board project for extra credit. He got 2 letter grades for doing this. Basically what this is all about is 7 elements which include Lead, Copper, Hydrogen, Oxygen, Zinc and Chlorine. Casey had to take speaker wire, brads and christmas tree light bulbs and make the lights light up when you take a 9 volt battery and place them on the 2 brads next to each element. The christmas tree lights were placed in a hole under each of the 6 elements in the chart taped on the cardboard. Then he had to take the speaker wire and an soldering iron and attach the speaker wire to each of the brad ends and the christmas tree lights. He did not solder the christmas tree lights. The wire was just twisted around them. The point of this project is when you take a 9 volt battery and place it on each element's brad the chart will light up. He had a great time making this with his dad. Since it was around Christmas time he wanted to print out a christmas tree on the Cricut Imagine. Happy New Year & An Update from Christmas....

Hi everyone!! Sorry that I have not been on here posting lately. Boy, it has been awhile since I have posted anything. Things have been pretty, well really hectic around here. How was everyone's Christmas? Ours was great as always. Den, my sweet husband went out on the 23rd while I was still sleeping in the early morning to buy gifts for Casey and Hallie. On his way home he called me because I had a doctor's appointment that morning and he wanted to know when I had to leave. I had no idea that he had even left... so I told him my appointment time which was in just about an hour or so. He had told me that he bought me a "prize" and he asked me if I wanted it now or on Christmas. First of all I had NO idea what he had bought for me and I was so excited like a little kid..lol so I said I want it now..lol. He bought me a new computer and I was completely shocked and very happy because my computer was literally dying. We looked at computers when we went to Best Buy just the day or so before and they were out of stock. So when he came home with a new computer for me I was surprised...very surprised. He did not have to get me anything because he bought me the Cricut Imagine for Christmas. How sweet is he? Anyhow, our kids Casey and Hallie were happy as usual on Christmas morning. They got every thing they asked for. It is hard to believe that Christmas came that fast and now it is over. In just 25 minutes 2012 will be here then on January 3rd my sweet Hallie will turn 11. Now I really can't believe that. Anyhow, I hope you all have a safe & Happy New Year and I hope that your Christmas was just as great as it was for our family. Things should be calming down so I should be able to spend time getting back to my blog again. I really missed you all and posting things. A Very Cricut Imagine Thanksgiving...

Happy Thanksgiving to all of my wonderful blog readers and followers! I hope you got to spend a wonderful day with your family and friends. Today my husband Den surprised me when he came home from his family's house from Thanksgiving dinner and told me about the black friday at Walmart and how the Cricut Imagine was on sale for only $187.00 and it came with 3 cartridges. His mom was going to buy one also so I said "Yes, I want one"!! lol.. So I went up to our local Walmart about 3 1/2 hours early to wait in line since they only had 7 machines in total. Once I got there I grabbed 2 of them. One for me and one for my mother in law. They would not allow us to put them in our carts until it was 10pm on the dot. So we stood there all that time making sure that we would each get a machine. When we were leaving they ended up having 4 machines left. I could not believe that I spent all that time waiting in line and only 3 Imagines were sold. Oh well.. better safe then sorry.

I wanted to thank all of you who have emailed me in regards to the raffle that I am working on for my friend who is trying to get out of a domestic abusive situation. I am working on getting sponsors to add to the raffle. Once I have everything in place I will post all of the details and I will give you plenty of time in advance so you know when it will begin.

Sadly, One of my closest friends is trying to get out of a domestic abusive relationship and she needs help...

Unfortunately she does not have any family that can help or assist her in this time of need.

We also give them the clothes and shoes our kids have out grown, unused products, any other household items and furniture they may need. Putting an end to Domestic Violence is very important and dear to me! After hearing that my very close friend from high school is dealing with this I had to try and help.

By doing a raffle I believe we can raise some money to help this family and try to take some of this intense

pressure off of their shoulders.

Two Pink Peas 1st Blogoversary Is Today...YAY!!

Happy 1st Blogoversary to Two Pink Peas! I can't believe it has been one year since I started blogging. It has gone by SO fast but I have loved every second. I want to thank each and every one of my blog followers and blog readers for making my blog so special. If it were not for you my blog would mean nothing, so Thank You, Thank You and Thank You So very much! I appreciate each and every one of you.

I also want to apologize for not being on here for the past few weeks. Our family has been busy with selling our house, finalizing building our new house and our kids have been doing extra activities in their school. Casey is now in 6th grade and he is in band. Well he wanted to join the Jazz Band at his new school. They do not choose 6th graders very often for Jazz Band and he MADE it. He had to audition and did excellent. We are SO very proud of him. Our Hallie started playing the flute in her 5th grade band and has already grown leaps and bounds. It is amazing how fast they have been able to learn how to play it and they are both very good players. I am a proud mama. But I wanted to just thank everyone for always visiting Two Pink Peas and being so loyal to me. It really means alot. I have a TON of new supplies to show you. Maybe I will do that tomorrow. Then I need to get back to making cards and stuff. We have been so busy that I have not made any cards in a while now and I really miss it. Just a few words about Kathy.. she is a nurse and I believe that nurses are like very special angels that live on earth. They do SO SO much to help us when we are sick and they really don't get much credit for all that they do. Nurses and teachers are very special to me and I really appreciate all of the hard work, the very hard work that they do to help us when we need them. I want to take this time to acknowledge Kathy and all of you nurses out there for ALL of your hard work that it takes being a nurse. It takes a special person to be a nurse and thank you for all of the time you have spent with your patients and their families. I am sure you have touched many lives during your career!

When I had my tmj total joint replacement surgery I had many complications during surgery and after. Unknowingly straight after surgery I ended up in the ICU for 4 days intubated and sedated. I had really special nurses that let my husband be by my side pretty much the whole 4 days. Then after they woke me up I had to stay in the hospital for 6 additional days. I remember this one nurse who was so amazing and so super sweet to me. I don't know why but I wanted my hair washed SO badly and despite the fact that I was so badly swollen and was under very very strong pain medications she took the time to wash my hair while I was confined to my bed. I have a picture of her washing my hair and it is and was so very sweet of her to do that for me. That surgery in itself was so traumatic for me and I suffer from chronic pain on my jaw and face and my pain will never go away. But that sweet nurse was willing to do anything to help me feel better. I will never forget that moment and how much I appreciated her kindness. To me she went over and beyond the call of duty. You know, I just thought of this... I am going to try and find out who she was so I can send her a card and let her know how much I appreciated that moment and how much she helped me in one of the most traumatic times in my life. Kathy..you have inspired me to find her so Thank You for that!!

Thank You For All The Happy Birthday Wishes.....

I wanted to Thank You for ALL of your sweet Happy Birthday wishes today!! You are all so amazing and so super sweet. Today my Two Pink Peas facebook page was filled with nothing but Happy Birthday's and it was SO SO SO sweet!! Thank you so much for thinking of me and taking the time to wish me a Happy Birthday!!! I appreciate each and every one of you and I wish I could give each of you a big ole' hug!! Today I had to get my drivers license renewed and boy was that fun..lol (kidding!! doing that is never fun..lol). Then I had some errands to run so I really did not do anything special. Usually we go out to dinner but since our kids have school and I was busy running around getting things done we did not go out to eat this time. I am sure you are all wondering what my husband got me for my birthday. Well, this is what he is giving me...This is something he has never done before and I was shocked when he told me what he wanted to do. Late last night he came to me and told me that he is setting up a special bank account for my
Two Pink Peas Craft Room and when our new house is built I will have between $1,500.00 to $2,000.00 to do whatever I want. I can use part of it to decorate my room and use the other part to purchase more craft supplies (like I really need that..lol) but how SWEET is that? So to date this is the best birthday gift I have ever received from him. I have been doing some research on the internet and looking at other craft rooms and I found ALOT of amazing ideas on how I want my Two Pink Peas Craft Room to look. So when we move in to our new house I will be posting LOTS of pictures on the progress of my TPP Craft Room. I can't wait to get in there and get started and wish that I could work in it every single day starting right now, but I will have to wait just a bit longer. But I wanted Thank you each and every one of you who wished me a Happy Birthday today!! Probably one of my favorite parts of today was stopping and feeding the stray kittens before I came home. When I pulled into the parking lot where they live they were ALL out of the drain and omg...they are growing SO much. They are absolutely adorable. I just wish I could find them homes, I am still working on it and my goal is to get them homes before winter comes. They cannot survive being outside where we live because we are in the snow belt. I refuse to take them to a kill shelter.. it has to be a NO kill shelter and I will find one, I just wish I could get them out of the drains right now. It really tears my heart to see them living in there. Then when I came home Casey made me this beautiful handmade card wishing me a Happy Birthday and Hallie had all of these little gifts for me. They are so sweet and very thoughtful!! :o)

Then of course walking in my door and getting tons of kisses and lots of love from Bella.. that is always the BEST..

It is so amazing to me how much Bella loves me.. She is the best gift and she sure loves her mama!!!

Plus, just knowing that you are literally helping to change these little lives and their families, well that is just priceless to me. When Salifu is too old for this program we will sponsor a new child and I will pass this down to my children and make it a family tradition to sponsor children as long as we can. We spend SO much money on craft items and we know how expensive that can be. Just imagine taking only $24.00 a month and literally changing a whole family and knowing that they will not go to bed hungry, knowing that the children will receive education, knowing that the whole family receives medical...well that is ALOT for the little amount that you give them each month. Each time I get a letter from Salifu and his family is literally a gift to me. Child Fund sends me Salifu's report cards, school work that they are proud of, updated pictures and lots and lots of letters.

We also send them extra money for special occasions like birthdays, christmas and they are able to use that money for what ever they need. I sent Salifu money for his birthday this past June and he was able to have a birthay party with the children in his village. Probably his first birthday party ever! How amazing is that?

I want to send a special thank you to Child Fund for wanting to share my story with the world.

If I can only get one more child sponsored then it is SO worth it. I would share a picture of Salifu but I think I packed up his letters and pictures and put them in storage since our house is on the market. Two Pink Peas Giveaway Is Open.....

As promised I am posting my giveaway today although it is past midnight but I am getting it done. This is everything all piled up together. I am going to post a few more pics and explain everything that one of you will receive!!

Here we go..

Ok, I am going to try and explain each item in this giveaway for you but just know that you will get every single thing in these pictures. I might add more goodies as time goes on. I will let you know what I add if I do that!

In this big bundle you are going to receive:

One ColorBok Patterned Paper Pack with 8 sheets of

12" x 12" called "Whimsy Assorted"

One ColorBok Patterned Paper Pack with 8 sheets of

12" x 12" called "Earthtones"

3 Separate Card Making Kits, all are different. Each kit makes 4 cards. Each kit contains 4 cards, 4 envelopes, 4 adhesive buttons, 12 adhesive rhinestones, 4 ribbon bows, 2 paper embellishments and 1 sticker sheet. Each kit has a total of 31 pieces. I will give you a little description of each of these 3 kits. The 1st kit has pink, black and gray colors and the 2 embellishments say "Thanks" and "Friends". The 2nd kit has pinks, purples and looks like an off white color which is embossed with little circles. The 2 embellishments say "Happy Birthday" and "Congrats!". The 3rd and last kit has pinks, whites, blacks, turquoise or it could be a blueish color and the 2 embellishments say "Congrats!" and "Happy Birthday". I bought a bunch of these at Target because they were only $1.00 each. I am planning on not putting the cards together in the kits like they are meant to but I am going to take things apart and use parts of the cards to make other cards, if that makes sense. It is worth it just for the buttons, ribbons and blings. I can see someone really being creative (which is ALL of you, just saying) and making a whole NEW and different look then what is shown on each kits pictures. But feel free to do whatever you wish with them.

You are going to get 2 packages with 3 glitter glues tubes in each package. The colors are Blue, Green and Red and Pink, Purple and Silver. There are also from the dollar bin at Target. I bought a ton of these. Each glitter glue tube contains .41 ounces.

Next you are getting 1 bottle of Silver Glitter Glue and it contains 4 fluid ounces.

2 sweet Rubber Stamps that say "hello" and Thanks"

I am throwing in 4 packets of my Peel N Stick Ribbon. They each have 3 separate ribbons for a total of 3 yards in each package. They say "Let's Go For A Walk", 1st Grandchild and the ribbon under that in the same package says "Precious Baby" and one package has adorable blue cars and the ribbon under the cars says "Day Trip" and the last package says "Happy Hanukkah".

You are also getting 2 spools of ribbon, one baby pink and one is purple. Very cute. Each spool contains 10 yards of ribbon.

You are getting 1 White Jelly Roll Pen, I have to say that I LOVE these!!

Next is a package from Simply Creative with 6 Jelly Tags plus 1 yard of Trim. All of the Jelly Tags are different. 1 says "'Cook", "the", Kiss", "Always", a picture of lips and the last one is a picture of a rolling pin and a bowl (I think it is a bowl anyhow..lol) But these are cute!

I am adding in some pretty Shimmery Red Cording. It is almost thin like twine but you can use this for so many things. I did not measure this but this is a really good amount.

Last but not least I am giving you 16 Chipboard Tags with Ribbons already attached. You will get 2 tags of each size, color or shape. Like for instance I am giving you 2 big round silver chipboard tags with white ribbons, 2 large red rectangle tags with white polka dots with white ribbon, 2 smaller red rectangle with white polka dots with red ribbon,

2 plain green circle tags with white ribbon, 2 lighter green with white polka dots with white ribbon, 2 small silver rectangles with white ribbon, 2 green scalloped squares with white polka dots with red ribbon, 2 red scalloped squares with green ribbon. So that is 16 chipboard tags in total. You can alter these, change the ribbons if you wish, add embellishments or just use them as is for as gift tag added on a gift bag or gift. The opposite side is just plain brown chipboard so you can totally decorate these with stamps and use them on scrapbook pages or cards.

I will leave this giveaway opened until my birthday which is August 31st. I am going to give you a ton of ways to gain extra entries if you wish.

Well..Shoot, I Did Not Meet My Own Goal For My Giveaway Today.....

Hi everyone! As you can see it is almost 3:30 am and I just got home about 2 hours ago and had some family things to deal with as soon as I walked in my door so I was not able to post my giveaway. I am truly sorry about that. I have been going on very little sleep for the past several days and am running on fumes. I have to get up early for my sons middle school orientation this morning on the 19th so I need to hurry and get to bed... but I promise to post my giveaway just as soon as I can tomorrow before I go to bed..LOL. I feel really terrible because I really thought I would be able to get home in time and post it for you all. Obviously that did not work so I will make sure to do it no matter what later on today.

Heads Up..Getting Ready For A New Two Pink Peas Giveaway...

Hi girls!! How is everyone doing today? Excellent, I hope. After running my many errands that I have to do today I will be posting a brand new giveaway sponsored by ME. Plus, my birthday is on the 31st of this month so this giveaway will be in honor of my birthday and me getting older..LOL. The BIG 42!! Ouch is all I can say. To be perfectly honest with you about 99% of the people are always shocked and I mean shocked when they find how old I am. Thank goodness I at least inherited great genes for that..LOL. There is nothing I can do about how my body feels since I have severe chronic pain on my jaw/tmj (my whole face is actually always in pain) from my total joint replacement and I also have fibromyalgia. I will of course keep everyone posted and let you know when I find him and if we can get him a job. I am trying and trying and really trying for him. I was on the phone most of the morning calling everywhere for help and assistance for Terry today. Giving him money will for sure help him but finding him a job where he will have stable money coming in will be the best and greatest gift for him and his children. This afternoon my kids plus Erin and Jillian got together and made Terry a brand new poster. I have lots of pictures to show you when we finish it. All 4 kids wrote something special on the back of the poster for Terry and his children. They are well wishes and other really sweet words. I will share that with you as well. K.. Well, I just cannot believe the kindness pouring in for Terry and his family. Someone so sweet who was reading

on Justina's facebook read her post about

Terry and donated $15.00.

Thank you so much! I am just floored at everyone and I wish there was something more I could do for all of you who have donated as a thank you for helping Terry and his children.

Tonight my neice Jillian and Hallie's best friend Erin are staying the night at our house. Well, Casey, Hallie, Erin and Jillian all got together and wanted to make more of a difference for Terry and his family. I had planned on taking all of the kids bowling tomorrow night and Jillian gave me $5.00 of her money to give to Terry. I mean, how sweet is that? Jill is a really good girl and I am really so proud to call her my niece!! Jill is only 11 1/2 (can't forget the 1/2) but for her to want to give some of her bowling money to me to give to Terry is just amazing to me. She has such a huge heart and I am very very proud of her for that!!

Then, Casey my son who only has $1.00 gave that to me to to add to the donation. I am very proud of them!!

The kids are preparing to do a lemonade stand tomorrow to raise some more money for Terry. Casey, Hallie, Erin and Jillian are really all pumped up to get as much money as then can to help Terry and his kids. Here is a picture of them with their money and signs that they made... So cute!!

Casey is in the back left with his $1.00 oh his hat, Jillian is next to him in the back with her $5.00 on her hat, then Erin is in front with the floral shirt and Hallie is in the orange and they are holding the signs they made for their lemonade stand tomorrow!! I am a very proud mama and auntie right now!!

So that puts us up to a whopping $69.00 for Terry!!!

How AMAZING is that? Seriously, this hopefully will help Terry and his children for awhile and hopefully he won't

have to walk 15 to 20 miles a day, especially in this

terrible heat for a while.

Dog Lovers...Please Help Me If You Have Seen This Before...

What you are looking at is Bella's FAVORITE toy in the whole wide world. It's name is Monster!! Don't ask me why we call it Monster but from day one we have just called it that. Today while I was gone Bella ripped it apart, as you can clearly see! About 1 1/2 year ago we knew someday this would happen and have been looking for another monster and have been unable to find one. There are no markings on this toy other then the word China on it's entire body. Has anyone seen this toy before and do you know if it is still available to purchase? The last picture is Bella walking on my nightstand trying to get her monster because that is how much she loves this thing. Now, I ask myself "if Bella really loves this monster so much why would she rip it apart to where she can not ever play with it again?" I have no idea..lol...she is a dog!! So I gather up Bella, her monster (which was placed in a plastic zip bag to protect it) Hallie and Erin and we run to our local pet store. Well, I have looked there before and they did not have it then and I just knew they would not have one now. I was right, no monster! I am just crushed, Bella loves this toy and I really hope to find another one if I can. While we were in the pet store.. look at what I saw...

Meet Roz!! Isn't she just BEAUTIFUL??

She is pink and gray my favorite colors!! I could NOT believe how friendly Roz was. She came straight to me and I held her for a really long time. She snuggled up under my cheek and chin and she was SO loving. (I would share those pictures if I did not look so hideous from running around so I will just share Roz and keep me out of it.. LOL.)

I LOVE all animals but have been a little afraid of birds like Roz because they can bite and bite hard. There was absolutely NO fear with this sweet little girl.

This was after I was "forced" to let her go back in her cage by Hallie and Erin. They wanted to go and Bella was getting fussy. But Roz LOVED me rubbing her neck. My gosh, I am telling you, it is not that often that I fall completely in love with an animal like Roz but she had me at hello!! lol

When we left the pet store Roz started flapping her wings and making ALL kinds of noises and was squawking like she did not want me to leave. Uh... it literally broke my heart to leave her. I almost turned back around and went back to her. That is how much of a fuss she made when I left her. <sighs>

She was only a mere $2,499.99 ...chump change.. right?? Wrong.. lol.

Oh, but if we were not selling and building a house right now I would have been so tempted to buy her right then and there. On my way home I was talking about Roz to Hallie and Erin and I said "that is a diamond ring, it could be a car" LOL.. but never in my life have I ever seen a bird that was this sweet and was so loving. She literally melted my heart. Roz will be seeing me again, that is for sure. I talked to the manager and pleaded with them to "make sure, make triple sure" that who ever buys her will take care of her. I also said that "I am worried about her and who ever gets to take her home that they will treat her right". They assured me that they would only let Roz go to a very responsible owner. Jokingly I asked "would you sell Roz to me?" They said "YES"!! The girl that worked there that got Roz out of her cage told me that one drunk lady came in and wanted to drain her bank account just to buy Roz and they told her "NO". That made me feel better. But I still worry. That is my big heart that I have. I really do worry to much about everything and anything!!

You girls probably think I am crazy for falling in love with this sweet bird. I wish you all could see her in person. Unbelievable and Oh So beautiful!! I really like Roz and clearly Roz really liked me!! How sweet is that??

Roz made my day today!!

Ok, back to Bella's monster, the main purpose of this post...If you girls happen to know where I can get my Bella a new monster please let me know. I would really appreciate it!

Cricut Won Lawsuit Against SCAL & MTC...

Hi girls.. News about your Cricut and SCAL...

I just came from http://babyjaydensmommy.blogspot.com and read that Cricut won their lawsuit against SCAL and MTC and this is what I found out. What this means is if you update your Cricut Firmware then you will NO longer be able to use either of these programs. If you have NOT updated it yet then you can still use these programs. My one question was "won't you have to update your firmware at some point and that means that you will not be able to use these programs any longer". I don't know but I wanted to pass this info on to you girls. For those girls who are lucky enough to have more then one Cricut then you can keep one and not update it and use it for SCAL and MTC and use your other Cricut and update it when you have to!! That is the only thing I can think of! Have a good night!! ~Terri

Well, the other day I had written my second long post about Paying It Forward and when I went to send it my whole post got erased!! I could not believe it!! Ughh..so here we go again..lol. This has happened a few times to me before and what a pain. But, today is a new day and I wanted to thank these ladies for Paying It Forward..

Thank you girls SO SO SO much for be so giving and opening your gigantic hearts to this really sweet man. In the post that I wrote the other day about Paying It Forward (that got erased) I was telling you all his first name.

Well believe it or not his name is...Terry!! Can you even believe that?? I just thought how weird is this? Just to clarify.. Terry is the man with the sign... I am Terri the person who just wants to help him. We are not the same person...lol.

But isn't that really amazing??

We share the same name!! To me that was a sign and a really big one at that!!

I don't know if you all believe in signs but sometimes I do. This was one of those signs that I saw crystal clear. I mean, we have the same name, granted different spelling but we have the same exact first name. Even if his name was different I would still have this deep need and passion to help him and his poor innocent kids. I do this for anyone that is in need!

So after my counseling appointment today I drove around to try and find Terry. I have not taken any of the donated money out of PayPal because one of the donations is still pending but I did not see Terry anywhere and I could not find him anywhere. The next time I will see him probably will be this weekend sometime. So if you would like to still donate, even if it is just $1.00, which is perfectly fine and very much appreciated you still have plenty of time. At some point in our lives everyone needs some sort of help. When I see Terry next and I tell him that complete strangers donated money because they care and want to pay it forward he might get choked up. I really want him to know that people do care about him and his kids. Hopefully that will make him feel good inside to know that people do care. Everyone is worth helping no matter their situation. I plan on helping Terry for a long long time. My next goal is to get him a job. That would be the ultimate gift for him!! Today at my counseling appointment the first thing I asked her was what else I could do to help Terry further. She gave me a 2 page list of Community Resource Contacts. So after I send this post I am getting on the phone to see what I can do for him.

It really made me super upset and sad when Terry told me that he is getting harassed and so is his children. Why people take things out on kids is really beyond my scope of understanding. That has got to be very difficult for his 2 kids. Just imagine being a little 10 year old and your dad has to walk 10 to 15 miles a day just to find a job. Terry told me that his kids are being essentially bullied by other kids because their daddy has to try to find a job every single day while walking with a sign on his back. That has to be really really rough on them. We have to help this family in any way we can, and we are doing that thanks to you all!! You all have really huge hearts and that touches my heart!!

Casey, Hallie and I will hopefully make his new sign tomorrow and we will post pictures of it when we are done. Thank you for ALL of your support and donations to help Terry and his family. You all are the absolute BEST and you are Paying It Forward in a MAJOR way!! Every single cent will go to Terry on top of what our family will give him.

My Pay It Forward For Today...And I Need Some Help From You... PLEASE!!!

Hi girls!! Boy, today was a very rough day for me for several reasons. First I went to see my counselor who I LOVE to pieces. She is helping me work through many things that I have not dealt with and she is really just a huge gift to me. Never have I felt this way about any counselor before but she IS just a huge huge gift to me!! After my appointment which was over around 1pm Hallie (who went with me today) and I were driving down a well known road. I can't tell you which road it is (to protect him and his kids, he asked me to do this) and I will tell you why in a second. It was about a month ago that I met up with this man who was walking down a major road and I had to stop and give money to. Anytime I see someone who needs help I am always the one to stop. I don't care how they look or if I may put myself in danger. Just a note before I go on, I have never been in danger ever for stopping and giving to someone in need!! Since I met him before I knew he was ok and so I knew I was ok too. So I had to drive about 1/4 of a mile going the opposite direction and had to turn around and try to catch up with him. He was on foot so I know I could catch up with him. But I was determined to stop and talk to him. I finally caught up to him and I got out of my car and had Hallie stay in the car with the doors locked (even though I know this man is virtually harmless but just to be on the safe side I had her stay inside with all doors and windows locked). I got out and I asked him if he remembered me and he did. I stood in the burning heat for over 30 minutes talking to this man (who I promised that I would not give out his name or where he walks because his children are getting bullied and they are getting pretty much attacked anywhere they go. When I heard that it made me SICK! This is wrong and should NOT happen. It is not those childrens fault. Some people are just sick! This is just a very sad situation to me. He has a sign on his back that says this..Exactly word for word this is what is says..

"'I'm Not A Bum! I Need Work! I Have 2 Children 2 Take Care Of. Christian Family" He does not panhandle and refuses to take any sort of pity. I cried for most of my visit with him. Here was this man who walks 15 to 20 miles EACH and EVERY day and he is trying to cheer me up. He asked me about my medicine that is a lollipop and what is was for. I explained about my total joint replacement and what happened and he was doing all he could to make ME feel better. I could NOT believe it. I gave him all of the money that I had (normally we don't carry cash, we use our check card or credit cards). It ended up only being $17.36 and I felt like such a LOSER that I could not give him or help him any more. He said that 1 out of 100 hundred cars will stop and some only hand him pennies some just call him bad names and harrass him! Seriously?? Pennies? Hallie and I were on our way to Chick-Fila and I asked him if I could take him with us to feed him lunch. He said he was not hungry because he just ate 2 hours before. I then asked him if I could bring him some food back to take home. He said no because it probaly would not good in the heat. Then I asked him if he needed a ride somewhere and of course again he said no. So I wanted to look at his sign close up with many many tears in my eyes and streaming down my face and his sign is very old, tattered and in not very good condition at all so I asked him if I could make him a brand new sign. He told me that the one he had was ok and for me not to go through the trouble. Well, I am not one to take No very easily. So I finally convinced him that I would make him a brand new sign. His only worry was that it could NOT be fancy because his thoughts were if people saw him with a fancy sign then he if afraid that they would think that he could afford other things. Made perfect sense to me. I was obviously going to use my Cricut to make it but I wanted to keep it super simple. So I went and bought one of those foam poster boards that has foam in between the layers of poster board. Do you all know what I am talking about? So, I bought him that and then I found some basic black adhesive letters that are made by Art Skills..it has 310 pieces, including 10 of each letters and some numbers. I think it cost a little less then $5.00. I mean, I would LOVE to bling his poster all out but I completely understand why he wants it very simple and plain and that is what he will get. He has a rope with a little hole on each side that he cut with a knife or something so I am going to use grommets, heavy duty grommets so that the board will not rip. Anyhow, I felt so bad for crying because of his situation and here he was lifting me up the whole time!! Amazing! This man is just amazing! He said he did not want pity, he did not want people to think he was a bum, he had dignity and I definetly saw that dignity in him and it was crystal clear to me today!! I ended up giving him my phone numbers so he can call me if he needs school clothes, school supplies, food or anything that he may need for his kids or himself. I would be so happy to help him in anyway that I can. This man is VERY special but is just very down on his luck. So this weekend I am going to make him a simple sign but that is neater so that people will be able to read it better. I will post pictures of us the making his new sign when Hallie, Casey and I sit down to make it.

This was my Pay It Forward for today. And he was the most PERFECT choice to Pay It Forward!! I only wish you could meet him!! You would be so amazed!!

What I would like to ask of all of you and this may seem, um, I don't know what word to use, But.. I would like to see if any of you would like to donate even $1.00 or $2.00 or what ever you feel you can donate to help him and his children. If you could send it to my paypal account and I will prove to you that every single penny will go to this man. If you cannot donate anything this time, that is 100% okay and I understand!! No need to tell me why you are unable to do this. This man is NOT a drunk, he is not a smoker, all he really wants to do is get a job to support his family. We all want that! I cannot help him with that right now but I would love to give him a little bit of money when I see him this coming Monday. Maybe I will have 2 or 3 winners. These will be simple things but it will be a showing of gratitude for opening your heart and helping this man who is so desperate to help his children!! That is ALL he wants. As you can tell I take things like this so personal. My whole counseling appointment today was about my 2 friends who are going through very tragic situations and now I am really worried about him. If each of you could at least donate $1.00 to this man it could add up to be alot (at least for him) and could put some food on the table for his kids for a few days to a few weeks. If you feel uncomfortable about donating it is really OK!! I understand, and I would never be upset at those who choose not to. It is really really ok. My goal is to help him as much as I can. While Hallie and I were at Chick-Fila I talked to the manager and talked to them about this amazing man who is so down on his luck. They agreed to pay it forward and give him some free meals. How AMAZING is that?? It only takes one person to make a difference but if we ALL get together imagine how much of a difference we can make for this one man and his 2 children?? It could be HUGE! I do want to note that I will not and WOULD NOT keep not one single cent. I am a very honest person who just loves to help those in need. I needed help a long long time ago and I will tell you all that story one day, but I had no one to help me. It hurt so bad I can't even tell you!! But we have the power to help him and trust me when I say that he is worth it, he does NOT want pity, he just wants a simple job. It makes me sad that not one other person stopped to help him in the past week and a half except ME!! How sad is that? So if you could find it in your hearts to donate at least $1.00 or what ever you can or what ever you feel you would like to donate by Monday I would be forever grateful and you would be paying it forward too. Please consider this, it does not matter how much you give but every single cent goes to him. P.S. This picture you see of him with his sign was the very first time I ever met him. I cried for 30 minutes after giving him some money. He looked so sad and just completely beat down. His health is really bad, I mean really realy bad and he needs help. I do not plan on stopping here. My next goal is to help him get a job. That is all any man wants for his family, a job to be able to support his family. They do not want hand outs or pity. Pay It Forward Friday's....

Hi girls!! I know this is coming to you late but I have been busy worrying about my 2 friends, one who has cancer and my other friend who just lost a dear friend of hers. Thank you for your continued prayers, well wishes and thoughts!!

I am and have always been a giver. I LOVE to help those who really need it. I especially hate to see things thrown away when they can go to others who really need them. Like women who are in domestic shelters, or the homeless living on the streets. I told you about digging in the trash and donating those items to those who needed them in a previous post. So I got to thinking about me and how I try to always pay it forward any chance I can and thought well, why don't we all try to pay it forward?

When you pay it forward you can really help change the world little by little. So every Friday I am going to have a Two Pink Peas Pay It Forward Friday's. I would LOVE to see all of you pay it forward somehow!! It can be something so small but to the person who receives it will be very large and will mean a great deal to them. So even though it is technically Saturday think about what you can do to pay it forward to someone, anyone today. It can be something small like to sit and listen to someone who has no one else to talk to, you can donate items to your local shelters for women, men or children...what about donating to the animal shelters? I love to do that too!! What about going to your local nursing home and visiting those who never has any visitors? To them it would mean so much. We need more kindness in our world and this is a perfect way to do that.

So please pay it forward to someone today and if we ALL pay it forward today, just imagine the impact that we will make today!! I would LOVE to hear how you paid it forward and we can all gain inspiration and get ideas on what we can do next Friday. It only takes one person to make a difference, let's rally together and make a HUGE difference!!

Have fun and get your kids involved, get your friends involved but just do something today, anything big or small. It does not matter. Paying it forward it what matters!!!

Contract Is Signed And Check Was Written Today For Our House... YAY!!! Finally!!

Tonight at 6pm we met with our builder

Enzo of Enzco Customs Homes we brought the model that Den had made and boy oh boy did Enzo go crazy. He really loved it!! So here they are talking about the house and the floorplan. Enzo is in the brown shirt and Den my husband is in the blue shirt.

They were taking the house apart and looking all through it. It was really cute to see! Enzo really loved it. He was amazed that Den actually made this.

Enzo taking a picture to show his son who is 11 (I think). He was saying that his son LOVES to build little model homes like this but with blocks and stuff. If this picture does not show how much he liked it then I don't know what will..lol

Here is Den signing the contract. I only took pictures of Den and Enzo not me..but I had to sign the contract too. So exciting!! It took us so long to get here!

Den is writing the check for our house. This is so funny because Enzo asked if he could pay Den to make some of these models for his clients.. how cute is that?? I KNOW that made Den feel so good about himself. I was so happy for Den to hear such a huge compliment from a really amazing builder!! But, we are now just waiting for our house to sell so we can start building and I can't wait. We have So many decisions to make still. What floor are we going to have, what is our kitchen going to look like?, Are we going to have oak trim like we do now or white trim, I mean it is endless but so much fun. I will be taking pictures throughout the whole entire process and then when our house is built I am going to make a special scrapbook for us.

Then I wanted to Thank Brynn at Flair and Frills I won the $50 prize package and just got it today. This is what she sent to me.. what a SWEETHEART Brynn is. I am going to break down what was in this big box of goodies!

In this pakage was a whole lot of great items. Included were these 2 scrapbook kits.. the girl one is from Pebble Inc., the other one is from Top Line Creations. They are both so adorable. I love them both!! So cute!

Brynn sent me this great Quick Quotes tote bag that I know I will use all the time. I use these when I go to the store instead of using paper or plastic bags. I have been trying to be as green as possible. So this bag is perfect!!

The Brynn added 10 double sided designer paper from Quick Quotes. I tried to show both sides of the papers.

Then I got acrylic stamps from K&Ccompany and there are 20 stamps in this set. So so cute!! I got 4 Powder Puff Chalking Ink in these colors..Maraschino Cherry, Amaretto, Green With Envy, Tahiti. I also got a package of 6 flowers and these are so cute. I can see so many uses for these. In this picture you see a little purple bucket of buttons. The last thing is from Making Memories and it is a spiral journal book with 30 pages. There are 6 patterns, 5 of each. Really adorable!! Thanks SO much Brynn!! I LOVE it all!!

Bella's First Day Home...

Look how tiny Bella is.. and she has been wearing clothes since this day 1. She LOVES her clothes and goes nuts when she gets new clothes to wear. One day I will video tape her when I change her clothes so you can see how crazy so goes..it is so super funny!! She is a girly girl for sure!!

So here she is..my sweet, sweet Bella!! This was her very first day home. Well, not home but Den, Casey and Hallie were camping so they were in our camper and I stopped on my way home to show them Bella.

This is the story about how I got my Bella. First I want to start by saying that we always rescue animals from shelters and not purchase animals from pet stores. Casey and Hallie were invited to a birthday party at Chuck E Cheese and after the party was over Den and Casey wanted to go into the hobby shop. They LOVE trains and stuff. So Hallie and I were walking down the plaza and noticed that Pet Land had some kind of thing going on outside in front of their store on the sidewalk. They had cotton candy, snacks and other things. Hallie wanted to stop to get some cotton candy, of course. Isn't that why they have those types of treats and stuff?? It sure got us inside the store!! Well, we don't like to buy puppies or cats from pet stores because of the puppy mill issue. Well, Hallie and I walked into the store to waste some time while waiting for Den and Casey. I have always wanted a yorkshire terrier and we were looking at all of the puppies and I saw Bella and asked if I could play with her in those little closed off play areas they have. Well, not even 2 seconds later I fell in love with her. I played with her, and I recorded her on my cell phone and called Den to tell him about Bella. Yes, I named her right there on the spot. Well, Hallie and I HAD to have her. She was unlike any puppy I had ever seen. I don't know what it was about her but she was very special. Right away Den was NO, no dogs from pet stores. I of course could not take no for an answer but I had to give in, for the time being. Well for 2 weeks I literally cried every single day because I was so worried about her. I was really scared that she would go home with abusive owners. I called the store every single day, several times a day and I would say "Is my Bella still there?" They knew who I was..lol. They would always say "Yes, Terri Bella is still here". So after 2 weeks of crying to Den, my being worried about her I stopped in the store, without Den knowing because I had to see her. I knew I was NOT going to leave that store without her and I didn't. Den finally gave in. It was 1 day past our 10 year wedding anniversary. Bella has been the biggest gift ever. Puppy mills disgust me and I can't understand how people can treat animals like that just to make money. But this was my thinking. Bella was born, it was not her fault that she could have been from a puppy mill and my thought was that I was going to rescue her and I did not care how much money she cost. I ended up spending a little over $1300.00 for her but she was worth every single penny and then some. You all know how much I love her and she has returned so much more to me 100 times over. I believe that things happen for a reason and I really believe it was no accident that I walked into that pet store that day, I believe it was no accident that she was still available almost 2 weeks after I first met and named her. She was meant to be mine. The little pink shirt Bella is wearing on her first day said "Daddy's Little Girl" on the back... how CUTE is that? As you can see Den just fell in love with her right away. I told you all before that I have never felt this way about any animal before but Bella is very very special and I don't know what it is. If you ever meet her you would see how special she is. I am just so thankful that I was able to get her. Anyhow, I had to share these very precious first moments of Bella meeting her family with you all. That is all for today.. 3 blog posts in one day..wow.. that is a record for me..I think anyway..LOL!!

Our House My Hubby Built...Too Cute...

Ok..so as I told you in my last post about my husband Dennis building a little model house out of regular white cardstock paper so I could actually see what our real house would look like. This is what he came up with. He is really really smart, sometimes too smart if you know what I mean..LOL. Seriously though, I found it really super sweet that he spent 2 to 4 hours making this just so I can see what our new house might look like. Here are several pictures of his model.

This will be the front of our house. He made the roof removable so I am going to show you the actual floor plan inside too.

This will be the back of our house. Do you see the little room that sticks out in the middle on the bottom? Well that will be our all season sun room! Then right on top of that is my craft room. He made is where my craft room bumps out over the sun room so I can see our kids playing in the back yard or swimming in our in ground swimming pool. To the left where you see the big rectangle that will be 3 windows and that will be our living room. So we will be able to see the sun room from the windows in the living room.

This is the garage side of the house. Right above the garage is our master bedroom. I will show you the floor plan of that too. But you can see the sun room sticking out better on the left hand side on the back of the house. So cute!! Don't ya think?

This is the other side of the house. Again you can see the all season sun room sticking out of the back on the right. The window you see on the 2nd floor is a window going up the steps from the 1st floor to the 2nd floor.

This is the floor plan of the 1st floor. It is an open floor plan. We went back and forth deciding if we wanted an open floor plan or a floor plan like the house that we are living in right now. We decided that we want the open floor plan and are very happy and excited with that. Den's office will be in the front on the right after you walk in to the house. Then to the left is our dining room complete a beautiful tray ceiling with lights. On the bottom half of the wall in the dining room will be all decorative wood with a chair railing. We are getting all hard wood floors on most of the 1st floor. If you keep walking straight you can see the living room on the right hand side and to the left you see the dinette and we are adding an all season sun room off of the dinette. To get to the sun room off of the dinette will have doors right now we are not 100% sure what type of doors yet. We will either get french doors or a sliding glass door which I am not fond of. Our current sliding door drives me crazy because it gets fussy sometimes. So my vote is french doors. I LOVE sun rooms and ours will be a 4 season one.. so awesome!!. Besides my craft room I am so excited about the sun room!! Ok, so keep walking to the left and you will walk into the kitchen that will have a desk area. Keep walking straight through the kitchen and you will walk into our mud room with a HUGE closet, a beautiful bathroom and our pantry for the kitchen. Then there will be a door to enter and exit from the garage.

This is our 2nd floor. We will have 4 bedrooms, one will be my craft room and I am going to show you an up close picture of that room and an up close picture of our master bedroom which is half of the 2nd floor. Literally half of the 2nd floor!! Our laundry room will be on this floor too, which will save so much time and doing laundry so much easier. If you look on the right hand bottom corner you will see a room, that is our laundry room.

This is my Two Pink Peas Studio!!! I am SO excited about having my own room and I want to be in it right now and start decorating it. How amazingly sweet is my husband to make this just for me?? He has worked SO hard on this floor plan to make it perfect for our family and I am so grateful to him for that. He has changed our floor plans many times because we want it to be perfect for our family. I just noticed that I did not get the whole picture of my craft room but I can fix that later. I wanted to give you an idea on what it will look like. Beside my craft room is the upstairs bathroom for the kids.

This is our master bedroom. It is split in 3 parts as you can see. The first part on the bottom of the picture is our HUUUGE master closet.. I mean this closet is endless. The closet is 20 feet long. This closet equals 90 square feet. Den said that this closet is bigger then some bedrooms. It is long and narrow. I LOVE this closet!! The closet that we have in the house we own now is so little and I NEED lots and lots of room..lol. I have so much stuff and I have no room to store things. So this closet is perfect for us!! Our original plan was to split the closet in half and put my craft room on one side and put the closet on the other side. Well, my craft room was going to be much bigger then the closet but you get the idea. But after thinking about it Den and I decided that it would be better to have a whole bedroom for my craft area and just keep the closet the way it is. I like this floor plan better anyway. Then you see the middle area which is the bedroom itself. The last part is our master bathroom. It is beautiful!! I showed you a few pictures of Bella in the big bathtub that she jumped in all by herself but could not get out...lol. Den did not build the basement for the little model but basements are basements. We currently have a theater in our basement that Den built and it is beautiful!! I should take a few pics to show you. He is quite talented and I am very proud of him!! We are going to have a theater in our new house too. Again, Den just wanted to give me a much better idea on how this house will look and that is why he built this little model. I am not one to look at floor plans and be able to visualize what it will look like in real life. So he did this just for me. I just thought it was so sweet of him to do that for me so that I will feel more comfortable when we sign the final papers TOMORROW!! Lat night he came up to our room around 1 am or so, it could have been later but I was till up and he said "come downstairs, I have a surprise for you" and I said "what is it?" Well, he built the roof for the model. What is funny about that, well not funny but sweet is that I had asked him if he was going to build a roof for the little model house and he said "I don't know" and he did, he built it just for me!! I had told him a few nights ago that I wanted to put this on my blog and I think he finished it so I could share this with you all! What a sweetie pie he is!! :o)

Well, that is about it. I think he might finish it and color the outside somehow. Oh, and this is the 2nd new floor plan that he made. We have the 1st floor plan that looks like this but arranged differently downstairs. I just want to say thank you to my sweet husband Den for doing this for me and our family. You know that I trust you 100% and I am so grateful that you are building our family a brand new house and I want to thank you for working so hard on it just to make me feel better about the floor plan. I appreciate every thing you do and I love you!

I hope you girls like what Den did and I would LOVE to hear any comments about his model. I told him that I would get some comments and that I would pass them on to him. Thanks for stopping by. Off Topic... Those Who Suffer From Fibromyalgia...

For those of you who do not know, besides having chronic pain from my total joint replacement on both sides of my jaw I also suffer from fibromyalgia. I have had fibro for many many many years. Probably over 11 years now. At least that is when my fibro was really at it's worse. I was pregnant with my youngest daughter Hallie, she is now 10 and right after I had my c-section my fibro went crazy and out of control.

I could barely walk, move, I mean I hurt everywhere. It was the most pain that I ever had to that date, besides getting my jaw broke but that is a whole other story.

I am a part of 2 fibro groups and one of them is sort of new. We are looking for new members to join. Our fibro group is on facebook and if you would like to join just click here and then friend request the group and we can add you. The owner of the group is Tiffany and she is really really sweet, very caring and very very supportive! Tiffany named me one of her admins just a few days ago and I help her out with several things. If you are looking for a ton of support, others that really understand what you are dealing and living with on a daily basis and new friends that share this condition then this group is for you!! Our groups name is called

Fibro M.O.M. which means Fibro Mind Over Matter and it also is a group for moms that live with fibro!!

We talk about everything from family, life in general, funny things, sad things, supportive things and this includes having and living with fibromyalgia. I know talking about fibromyalgia is way off topic from what I usually post on my blog but there are so many women that I have met through blogging that craft and they suffer from many different medical conditions one being fibromyalgia.

I also found some picture of my joint replacement and I thought I would share what it looks like..This is my joint replacement on the 3-D model that they had to make just for me. This was so they could custom build my new joint and it would fit perfectly.

Bad Bad Bad News Just Came To Me...

Well.. I am just absolutely crushed and crying right now. One of my very very good friends who I care deeply about just called me and gave me some very bad news. He told me that he has cancer. I started to cry and I just cannot believe it. He is just an amazing man and we are just such good friends. Literally I am in shock and while on the phone with him and I am crying my eyes out he is being so strong. Where he gets this, I just don't know. This is his second time having cancer and I am SO scared for him. Please keep Vic in your prayers and thoughts. My dad passed away from cancer at the age of 49 years old. Vic is a giver like I am and he is always giving to everyone else despite feeling so badly. Girls, I am so worried for him. I don't know what to do. If anything happened to him I would die...just die!! So when I hear "I have cancer" I feel literally sick to my stomach and it is not a good reaction that I feel because of my dad. But, I just wanted to share this with you all. I know my last post was not so happy and this post is not so happy and I am just so worried for my friends right now. Why this is happening to such amazing people is so confusing to me. My counselor told me to read this book called "Why Bad Things Happen To Good People" and I am going to go download it to my Nook Color right now. I need to see things from another perspective. I am sorry for such sad posts from me over these past 2 days but please keep all of us in your thoughts and prayers!! Thanks girls.. I will talk to you all very soon!! ~Terri

Prayer's And Well Wishes Needed!!!.....

Just a few days ago I got some really really bad news from one of my best friends that I went to high school with. Her friend Sheila was in a terrible car accident and had to be put on life support. Unfortunately there was very little chance for her to make it as she had major head trauma among other severe injuries. She was taken off of life support and passed away yesterday a little after 4 pm. My friend Dawnetta is literally crushed and in complete disbelief! She is unable to afford to travel here to Ohio from Kentucky where she lives to go to her funeral. Actually Shelia's service was earlier today. If you could all please pray for Dawnetta and Sheila's family I would really appreciate it. This is just so tragic and very very sad. We are all in shock and in denial that this actually happened. We were really hoping that Shelia would pull through this but her inuries were so bad that there was no hope.

Dawnetta LOVES to get cards. Both of Dawnetta's parents passed away when she was younger. I think Dawnetta was around 6 years old when her mom passed away. So she has been on her own for a very long time. Dawnetta expressed to me tonight that the only family members besides her children that she feels like she really has is me. For those of you who have time and could make one of your beautiful cards for Dawnetta?? I would really really appreciate it. Even a card that you already made would be perfect. She does not get mail very often except for the mail and packages that I send to her. Today Dawnetta actually received a package that I sent to her earlier this week. Included in the package was a beautiful bracelet that I got for her that will hopefully will help Dawnetta remember Sheila and will help Dawnetta feel that Sheila will always be with her. Dawnetta called me today letting me know that she got my package and told me that she cried when reading the letter that I wrote to her and was so appreciative of the bracelet that I sent to her.

I know she would feel the exact same way receiving a beautiful card from all of my wonderful, caring and loving followers and blog readers. If you could send her a little card to help lift Dawnetta's spirits....the impact that you would make on someone who is so sad and seriously grieving right now from the loss of her good friend would be really amazing!!! It is really amazing what a little card can do to someone who is going through something this tragic and how it can lift their spirits.

It makes me feel so bad that she literally has no family besides her kids. If you are interested in making or mailing her a card could you leave me a comment with your email address and I will email you her address right away? I realize lately that I have asked you all to do so much for me but this is not about me...this is about Dawnetta and Sheila! After you lose someone that you really love and care for it really helps knowing that others are thinking about you, praying for you and my sweet Dawnetta really needs to see that there are people out in our big world who really care about others and that she has alot of people who care about her. I know that Dawnetta will cherish each and every one of these cards forever and these cards will mean so much to her. If you cannot do it..it is completely ok. I understand and no explaination is needed. Thank you for being so wonderful to me and being SO supportive to me. Every single one of you just amaze me!! Never in my life have I seen so many people with such huge gigantic loving hearts like yours!!

Today I received the SWEETEST little gift by the sweetest and one of my most favorite blogging friends that I have. As you all saw that I received a few blogger awards and I passed both of these awards to Pendra at Pendra's Place. So as a thank you to me she did the most sweetest, amazing and just loving blog post on her blog about me. Thank you so much Pendra!!!! I told her that one of my most favorite things about blogging has been finding the most amazing friends. When I first started blogging I really did it just to share my cards and other items that I made. Never did I think that I would become so close to so many other people like I have. Penra does not have very many followes and she just DESERVES to have as many followers as blogger will allow. Casey Found A $50.00 Dollar Bill On The Ground...

First I am SO bummed to say that I have NO pictures to show you and I will explain why that is in a second. Casey stayed a few nights at his papa's house and they went to a flea market. Casey was walking around looking at everything and happened to looked down and sitting right there on the ground was a $50.00 dollar bill. He tried to find who this money belonged to and he could not get anyone to claim that they lost it. I was actually really pleasantly surprised that everyone that they asked was very honest and did not lie and say "oh yes, that is my money" and I LOVE that. So Casey got to keep it. He was SO excited as anyone would be finding that much money. I know what I would have done with it..bought some craft supplies..LOL.. Like I really need one more thing!!

Today, I had taken a ton of pictures of him holding his money and pictures of the $50 dollar bill itself and then some random pictures of the day we spent together. When we got home I inserted my memory card into my computer to download them... well the pictures started downloading, and all of a sudden there were NO pictures. I had close to 200 hundred pictures and they are all gone. I am really bummed. I don't know what happened. So I put the memory card back into my camera because I wanted to see if I could see them on my camera but my camera prompted me with an error saying that I needed to format my memory card. I happen to know that when you format your memory card every thing gets erased so I did not allow it to format. Right now, I am still working on this memory card to see if hopefully I can recover these pictures but it is not looking good. But I wanted to at least share the news of Casey finding that money. Pretty amazing!!

I asked Casey what he wanted to buy with his money and I suggested that we open a savings account and that he should just hold on to it. I told Casey that Hallie has a savings account and he would be very smart to open one for himself and save his money and add to it and when he really wants something he will be able to buy it and not just buy anything just because he has the money and he can't wait. Well, he acted like this money was burning a hole in his pocket..LOL. You know, like kids usually act when they get money..lol. So today I took him to Target and then we went to the Hobby Store. He really wanted a remote control helicopter and was very excited because his papa has one and that is what he wanted. No talking him into anything else...this helicopter was it!! Of course I had to chip in about $25.00 because these little boogers (meaning remote control helicopters) are SO expensive. Since Casey is a really good boy I was happy to help him get what he wanted and plus he really deserves it. I just wish that I had my pictures to show you. Such a bummer.

This has never happened to me before. I always format my memory card before I put it into one of my digital cameras and actually this memory card was formatted it this morning. So it is a mystery..lol.

Well.. I am signing off for now. I am literally pooped. We have been so busy lately and plus my one of my best friends who I went to high school with called me last night letting me know that one of her good friends got into a very bad car accident and she was on life support for many days. I am not sure how many days exactly. But they pulled the plug last night and we are just waiting to see if she can make it on her own or if she is going to pass . It does not look good as she had severe brain trauma. Such a shame and my friend is so very upset and sad. I feel so terrible for her and wish there was something I could do to help them both.

Well, I just got home and I was checking blogger and every blog that I follow like I usually do and I went to
Ok Scrappin Mama and I was reading her post about the winners and I am one of her winners. I could NOT believe it. There were 4 winners and I was number 3 and the funny thing is that 3 is my favorite number..so how funny is that?

A Jar For You...A Jar For Me...

This is the finished jar above...

I started with this simple jar that I got at Target, I picked the smallest size.

Here are most of the items that I put in the jar. I forgot to add the string in this picture for the beads.

A side picture of the jar.. you see the glitter glue sticks..they were all nice and neat and standing up straight but they tipped over..lol

Finally a close up picture of the lid of the jar. You don't see the tags that I attached to each jar with the names of the girls.

Here is the story of this jar and why I made it....

Fabi over at Mrs Sassy Crafter was so very sweet and she asked if she could feature me on her website. How amazingly flattering and sweet is that? Fabi is such a sweetheart and I could not ever say no so I immediately said yes, of course!!

We have been really busy lately with our house and some other things and I have not had time to really sit down and be creative.

Hallie wants to have a crafting party so I created some little craft jars. These are for her and her friends when they come over to our house. They will have a little adorable craft jar with their own craft supplies to use and then they will be able to take

it home when they are all done.

This was an easy peasy project.

We put a few things in each of the jars

and this is what we added...

2 Rubber Stamps that all say "Hello" and "Thanks"

1 Ink Pad

6 Glitter Glue Sticks

Beads To Make Necklaces or Bracelets

String For The Necklaces and Bracelets

2 Sheets of Bling

I will give them paper and some other items to use when they are here. But this is like a little gift that they can take home and they will be able to use the jar for something else when

they want to. I love giving little gifts that can be taken home!

For the lid Hallie and Erin picked out the paper that they liked

and I traced a circle big enough to cover the lid generously

and then I cut it out with scissors..No Cricut or Gypsy was used here. Again, simple simple and so simple!

I took some white ribbon and tied it around the paper and tied a knot to keep the paper in place. Over the white ribbon I used pink ribbon with white polka dots and made a bow.

I bought these adorable flowers that had little clips on them and I just clipped the flower in the middle of the ribbon to jazz it up a bit. They could probably use the flower and clip it in their hair if they wanted to. The flower was a 2 pack that I got at Walmart.

I used scissors to curl the white ribbon and that is it.

I do have tags with their names on it but I was in such a hurry to get this over to Fabi that I did not take a picture with the cute Martha Stewart tags that I used and attached to the jar under the ribbons. Oh well, you all get the idea. Sorry about that!

This project was so very simple and I know that the girls will really LOVE them. You can also make a "beauty or makeup jar" and add little makeup's, finger nail polish, lip gloss and any other items that you can think of. How fun would that be to let your daughter have a little make up party and give each guest a little jar filled with make up, finger nail polish and so on?

The girls would go nuts. All little girls love makeup!!

This is just a simple thing to make that will really mean alot

to those who will receive them.

Think of all of the ideas you can do for boys too!!

The ideas you can come up with these jars are limitless really.

Well the reason is because we have been looking at a few houses and the prices have really dropped and we want to make the right decision for our family.
